
On Friday night, Daniel and I went on a date since we had not seen each other all week. We went to dinner at Warehouse Bistro in Opelika. It was this small, adorable restaurant in the middle of nowhere Alabama that had candles in wine bottles and a huge wine menu. I had the roasted duck with cherry glaze and Daniel had the filet, of course.
Oh be still my beating heart! Roast duck is right at the top of my favorite meals (I usually get lichee duck at Chinese eateries). I guess the apple (acorn) doesn't fall too far from the tree. I know, I know but sometimes when you're trying to be witty it works or it doesn't. A good cab would probably be called for also on the occasion!
