On Sunday, I spoke to about 200 third year vet students at the Opportunities of Equine Practice Seminar in Lexington. I spoke about externships and what they can do to gain an internship and stand out while visiting a practice. It was quite intimidating! I sat on the stage before my presentation with 3 other well known veterinarians that were 40 or older and here I am the little unknown vet student! Even though I was quite nervous, I made it through and I think it went well! Dr. Rood told me I did a great job and a vet from Haggard asked me to email him my presentation.
I am very proud of you! You are going to be a great vet. You're already a wonderful daughter.
